CHICAGO, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Norman Bobins, President and CEO of LaSalle Bank, and Pat McGoon, CEO of Children's Memorial Hospital announced today the "LaSalle Street Challenge" -- a call to financial institutions along LaSalle Street to hold simultaneous blood drives during the holiday season. Donations of whole blood and platelets are needed for use at area hospitals, cancer treatment centers and emergency rooms during the last two weeks of December and the first week of January. Current forecasts fall below projected usage.
