The scheme proposed by Shanghai Tire & Rubber (Group) Co., Ltd. to merge Shanghai Steel Wire Factory has recently been approved by the State Economic and Trade Commission. The company therefore has six core members today, including Dazhonghua Rubber Factory, Zhengtai Rubber Factory, Truck Tire Factory, Passenger Tire Factory, Rubber Mixing Factory and Steel Wire Factory. Shanghai Steel Wire Factory has been renamed to Steel Wire Factory of Shanghai Tire & Rubber (Group) Co., Ltd. and will soon put up its brass plate.
