Vinyl acetate in the domestic market is in short supply and the price keeps rising in the past month. The market price is 6 400 - 6 600 yuan per ton in Northwest China and around 6 500 yuan per ton in East China. Compared with August, the average market price of vinyl acetate today has increased by around 12% and 700 yuan per ton. Factors for the short supply and big margin price rise are as follows:

(1) price rise of upstream raw materials

The sustained price rise of crude oil has brought about an increasing price of petrochemical products. The price rise of ethylene has in turn led to the cost increase and price rise of vinyl acetate.
