NEW YORK, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Volt Information Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: VOL) announced today financial results for the Company's fourth fiscal quarter and year ended October 29, 1999. Net sales for the fourth quarter were $558.9 million, an 11 percent increase over net sales of $502.7 million in the 1998 fourth quarter. Net income for the quarter was $13.0 million, or $0.86 per share (diluted), versus $9.2 million, or $.61 per share (diluted), for last year's comparable quarter, a 42% increase in net income.
For the 1999 fiscal year, net sales increased 25.3 percent to $2.1 billion from $1.7 billion in last year's comparable period, while net income was $29.0 ...
