CURITIBA, BRAZIL -- Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) and Inepar S/A Industria e Construcoes, a Brazilian energy systems and technology equipment manufacturer, today announced the formation of a joint venture to supply the fast-growing power equipment sector of Brazil's telecommunications market. Headquarters for the joint venture will be in Curitiba, Brazil.
