GETdigitalmedia, Gaylord Entertainment Company's (NYSE:GET) Internet division, has acquired Songs.com, a leading independent music e-commerce site on the Web. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Nashville-based Songs.com, founded in 1995, helps independent music artists connect with their fans on the Internet and facilitates e-commerce for those artists. Through Songs.com, music fans can see the Internet sites and purchase the music of more than 400 singers and songwriters.
