NUREMBERG, Germany - The Bavarian city of Nuremberg is grappling with what to do with some of the most powerfully symbolic remaining architectural monuments of the Nazi era.
These are the remains of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds - the Reichsparteitagsgelaende - the monumental complex of stadiums, parade grounds and other giant structures where hundreds of thousands of people gathered annually in the 1930s for ritualistic celebrations of the Hitler cult.
The rallies were epitomized in "Triumph of the Will," Leni Reifenstal's film of the 1934 rally, and provide some of the most enduring - and disturbing - images of Nazi power in Germany.
