President Clinton yesterday denied he sexually abused former White House volunteer Kathleen E. Willey just steps from the Oval Office in 1993, as aides stepped up a campaign attacking her credibility.
A day after a reluctant Mrs. Willey told her story in a national television interview, Mr. Clinton insisted that "nothing improper happened" during the Nov. 29, 1993, meeting during which Mrs. Willey claims the president kissed her, fondled her breasts and put her hand on his genitals.
