SALZBURG, Austria - This is the city of Mozart, from the Mozart chocolates, perfume, beer and baby clothes sold near his Geburtshaus, or birth house, to his Wohnhaus, where he resided, to the Mozarteum dedicated to his music, to the churches, palaces and mansions where he once performed.
Follow the narrow, winding streets of the Salzburg's Altstadt, or old city, to walk in the faded footsteps of the child prodigy who became perhaps history's greatest composer.
The old city is much the same as it was in the 18th century. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart might recognize most locations and easily find his way around town. Yet there are changes.
