The Martin Grass backlash has begun.
People, pundits and institutions formerly favorably disposed, or at least indifferent, to the way he ran Rite Aid have now rushed to judge his retailing career, especially that portion of it that led to the drug chains current difficulties.
Friends, relations, business associates, casual acquaintances -- all have hurried into print to express themselves as to Grass' lack of judgment, questionable ethics, poor decisions and seeming indifference to the fate of the company he headed for four years. Moreover, every critic has become a sage, insisting that he or she knew all along that Grass just didn't have it.
