Article: S&P Raises Ratings on Equitable Life & Related Entities.

NEW YORK, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's today raised its counterparty credit, financial strength, and surplus note ratings on the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the U.S. (Equitable Life) and affirmed its commercial paper rating on the company.

At the same time, Standard & Poor's raised its counterparty credit and financial strength ratings on Equitable Life's subsidiary, Equitable of Colorado.

In addition, the counterparty credit and senior debt ratings on Equitable Life's immediate parent, AXA Financial Inc., were raised (see list below for all ratings).
