SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 27, 1999--California
Trade and Commerce Agency Secretary Lon Hatamiya today applauded the
decision by Leprino Foods Co. to locate the world's largest mozzarella
cheese operation -- a $150 million manufacturing plant in Lemoore
(Kings County), which will add 400 new jobs.
"This is a tremendous shot in the arm for Kings County, and an
example of California opening its doors to new business expansions,"
said Secretary Hatamiya. "California's inherent industry strength,
coupled with increased tax incentives and a growing dairy industry
cluster were key reasons Leprino Foods chose California."
