THE motor car, alas, is with us to stay; dirty, noisy, unreliable and dangerous it may be, but it is useful too. The question is: useful to whom? Few of us, after all, despite the prosperity of this early 20th century, can afford a "chauffeur" (and who but the daredevil young want, or even know, how to drive themselves?).
