The Commerce Department's Census Bureau today released 1999 population estimates for the insular areas of the United States, which comprise Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa.
The estimates as of July 1, 1999, are:
