JUST WHEN I THOUGHT AMERICA had stepped out of the shadow of Europe, along comes Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio. Last month, he proposed legislation that sounds like something they cooked up on the Continent. You know the capital "C" Continent, dubbed so as if it were the only one that mattered. It's the place that invented the Continental breakfast, a.k.a. the snack that masquerades as a meal.
Rest assured, if it comes from Europe, it will sound bigger and more important than it really is.
And it looks like some of us, including Dennis Kucinich, want to jump on Europe's protect-the-world-from-GMO bandwagon. Like Continental breakfast, he makes the GMO ...
