Dec. 30--DUBLIN, Ga.--A Dublin livestock equipment manufacturer will close its doors sometime next year, resulting in the loss of about 50 jobs in Laurens County.
Behlen Manufacturing Co. is consolidating operations at three plants in its Livestock Equipment Group into a new 148,000-square-foot facility in Huntington, Tenn. The Dublin facility -- which makes a variety of gates and feeders -- and plants in Goshen, Ind., and Corsicana, Texas are all affected by the consolidation decision.
Behlen, which is headquartered in Columbus, Neb., has not set a specific date for the closing but expects it to occur in the second quarter of 2000, said Diana Raimondo, ...
