Battery producer Accuma Corp. has entered custom injection molding to help boost its sales.
The Statesville, N.C.-based company is looking for new business, especially in automotive, electronics and appliance markets, according to Bob Campbell, the firm's marketing manager for custom molding. Accuma is ready to take on mechanical and appearance parts, Campbell said in a telephone interview.
Accuma's experience in battery production gives it particular expertise for under-the-hood auto parts. The firm produces batteries and related components for a range of vehicles, including motorcycles, forklifts and trucks, and stationary applications.
