The first sentence of Ken Adelman's April 3 column, "Limits to liberty where Islam reigns" (Commentary)," states, "Democracy thrives nowadays in Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, Confucius, Shinto, and even some Bantu nations."
The apparently innocuous word "even" inserted into that sentence betrays the writer's opinion about matters pertaining to Bantu peoples and nations.
By the way, "Bantu" does not denote a religion, as your supposedly informed columnist implies.
