As we aggressively engage the new interdisciplinary thematic approaches, we can't help but think of John Dewey or Mel Haggerty and the Owatonna Project, or that we have been doing interdisciplinary thematic units in art through our entire careers. It does give art teachers a feeling of being needed and of knowing that we have something to offer the academic world.
