BEIJING, Jan 6 Asia Pulse - Experts here said that China's accession to WTO will have a great impact on China's stainless steel industry.

China's demand for stainless steel has grown very rapidly. Consumption of stainless steel rose from 500,000 tons to 1 million tons within 5 years in China but the same amount to Japan 15 years. It is estimated that the demand for stainless steel will reach 1.5 million tons by 2000, 2 million tons by 2005 and 2.5 million tons by 2010.
