ICON Laser Eye Centers, Inc. (OTC CDN: ILEC.U) ("ICON"), a leading international laser vision correction ("LVC") provider, announced today that its LVC procedure volume for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 1999 totaled 9,614. The 1999 fourth quarter LVC procedures increased 2,443% percent over the 378 LVC procedures performed in the fourth quarter of 1998 and sequentially increased 73% percent over the third quarter of 1999, when 5,541 LVC procedures were performed. The fourth quarter procedures represent an annual run rate of approximately 38,456 LVC procedures.
