Jan. 13--Did somebody say, "More!"?
McDonald's rollout of its new burger, enthusiastically called the Big Xtra!, is reaching the restaurant giant's Indianapolis area stores this week, doing battle with Burger King's Whopper.
The new burger is a larger offering and made to order, changes the Oak Brook, Ill.-based McDonald's hopes will draw customers from Burger King, its closest rival.
"It puts them on a par with Burger King as far as perception of fresher sandwiches and burgers," said analyst Patrick Schumann of Edward Jones in St. Louis.
