Alone among the printers in this roundup, the Panasonic KX-P6500 uses a space-saving minitower design. The $294 printer's performance results were mixed, but the output quality was decent.
Like the OkiPage 6w, the KX-P6500 has a 6-ppm print engine, a 300x300- dpi printhead, and a 512K buffer. Unlike the other two printers with 512K of RAM, however, the KX-P6500 can be expanded to 4.5MB. Its 300x300 print engine is supplemented by Panasonic's Edge Enhancement technology, which interpolates the resolution up to 600x1,200 dpi.
Although the KX-P6500's upright design saves desk space, you have to force the print media through a fairly tight paper path. The ...
