PERCHED discreetly in the penthouse atop the SunAmerica Center in Century City is International Lease Finance Corp.
While it employs just 95 people, it is an awesome force in the global aerospace industry. It buys and sells major commercial aircraft, lots of them. It is the biggest customer (newplane buyer) of both Boeing Co. and Airbus Industrie, and is the world's largest seller of aircraft, other than the aircraft manufacturers themselves.
