SAN DIEGO, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Nanogen, Inc. (Nasdaq: NGEN) and Hitachi Ltd., of Japan, acting through its Instrument Group, executed an agreement on the full scale commercial manufacturing and distribution of Nanogen's proprietary NanoChip(TM) instrument system in specified research markets. In cooperation with Nanogen, Hitachi's Instrument Group will provide proprietary technology of its own and technical support to aid in the manufacturing scale up of Nanogen's NanoChip(TM) instruments.
