Ach, Himmel!
The cartoon politicians in your issue of December 3, 1999 [page 19], who enter the Reichstag fearful that a cry of "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Furher [sic]" will land them in trouble are, of course, correct. Their plight, however, seems more linguistic than political.
