The Mexican glass major Vitro has sold to Owens Illinois's subsidiary Toledo for US$6.6mil its 23,7% stake in the Peruvian glass producer Compania Manufacturera de Vidrio. The move was justified to tackle debts of US$150mil payable until end 2000.
