The next wave of influences for the men's innerwear market are here. And not all that surprisingly, the influences come from sportswear.
Military, denim and drawstring boxers are the next new things, although it remains to be seen whether they'll be the next big things.
Nevertheless, retailers say men are starting to have more choices in their underwear selection than ever before.
For spring '00, RIPS, a Los Angeles-based underwear manufacturer, has introduced a drawstring boxer, with a suggested retail of $19.95, following the successful introduction of a drawstring brief, retailing at $17.95.
