SAN MATEO, Calif., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Bay View Capital Corporation ("Bay View,") (NYSE: BVC) today announced that Scott H. Ray has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Douglas J. Wallis has been appointed Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

Since joining Bay View in 1998, Mr. Ray had served as Chief Financial Officer of Bay View's wholly owned subsidiary, Bay View Bank. Mr. Ray succeeds David A. Heaberlin, who remains as President and Chief Operating Officer of Bay View Bank.
