Jan. 26--EAST PEORIA, Ill.--To tap into a booming central Illinois construction and landscaping business, L.E. German Implement Co. invested $2.5 million in an expansion and relocation of its East Peoria store.
The business nearly tripled its space from 5,400 square feet to 13,300 square feet and added more outdoor equipment display areas on its new, two-acre site at 215 Fairlane Drive, off Illinois Route 116 near the McClugage Bridge.
Other locations were considered for the expansion, but German owners decided the central location and advantages of East Peoria's enterprise zone made relocation within the city the best decision.
