Jan. 27--A growing number of Boeing engineers and technical workers -- including some of their chief negotiators -- are now convinced their union will go out on strike a week from today.
Union negotiators had urged acceptance of Boeing's final contract offer, made Jan. 13, but now some of those same negotiators say the contract will be rejected when mail-in ballots are counted Feb. 2.
"There's been an amazing transformation since we agreed to endorse that offer," said Stan Sorscher, chairman of the negotiating team that represents engineers in the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace.
