Increasing electricity demand has prompted the MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND WATER DEVELOPMENT to undertake the construction of a new hydroelectric power station in Zambia. According to David Saviye, Minister (Energy & Water Development), his country's economic development can only be sustained with adequate hydroelectric power. As a result, the country needs to rehabilitate and build additional power plants.
