PROJECT OVERVIEW

The local OROGEN MINERALS LTD. recently acquired a 31.5% interest held by NORD PACIFIC in the Ramu lateritic nickel/cobalt mine in Papua New Guinea. And, HIGHLANDS PACIFIC holds a 58.5% stake in the property in question.

The resource is said to contain mineable reserves of 75.5 million tons grading 0.91% nickel and 0.1% cobalt. In addition, there is reportedly excellent exploration potential which could increase the size of the deposit. As a result, the projects initial mine life of 20 years is expected to be substantially extended.
