Southern Co., the largest generator of electricity in the US, has opened a 24,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art energy commodity trading floor in Atlanta.
Nearly 100 traders and 400 support people will work there in one of the world's largest and most sophisticated energy trading centers.
The trading floor operates 24 hours a day, providing real- time information and quotes.
