DALLAS, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- A multi-million-dollar lawsuit filed in Dallas County charges that CompUSA (NYSE: CPU) and Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim Helu engaged in breach of contract, conspiracy and fraud in Dallas-based CSL's efforts to develop the personal computer business in Mexico. CSL (COC Services, Ltd.) is seeking up to $200 million in actual damages and up to $400 million in exemplary damages from CompUSA, Inc., and Slim and his related entities.
Also named as defendants are CompUSA President and CEO James Halpin, Grupo Carso S.A., Grupo Sanborns S.A., and TPC Acquisition Corp.
