A House bill that would boost U.S. military ties with Taiwan is prompting warnings of potential diplomatic disaster that echo from the White House to Tiananmen Square. National security adviser Sandy Berger on Wednesday warned of the "increased danger" to U.S.-China relations from a House bill meant to bolster U.S. military ties with Taiwan, even as he tried to lobby Congress to normalize trade relations with China.
