Feb. 8--Saveur is a New York-based magazine dedicated to the finer things in life, specifically foods from around the world.
In the current issue, the staff at Saveur -- French for savor -- named its 100 favorite foods, people, places and things.
The scope of the listings is breathtaking, from white truffle ice cream and grilled foie gras to Flamin' Hot Fritos and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
On Page 90, sandwiched between Sichuan Peppercorns and Pepto-Bismol tablets, is Modesto's own Sciabica family, makers of Nick Sciabica & Sons olive oil.
