A new honeycomb paper packing material meeting the requirements of environmental protection has been developed in Shanghai Meilong Industrial Park. As the new material takes waste paper as base, producing one ton of such material can save nearly 50 [m.sup.3] of timber. Besides, all the material can be recovered after use. Compared with traditional wooden packing materials, it can save energy and reduce cost and can be used in packing of export products.
