WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Washington-based Islamic advocacy group, today issued a warning to Muslim parents about "The Terrorist," a middle school reading text that it says contains a number of inaccurate, offensive and stereotypical references to Muslims, Muslim women, Arabs, and Islam.
CAIR's alert called on Muslim parents to contact the book's publisher to register their concerns. The alert also suggested that parents monitor their children's reading lists and suggest alternative titles that offer objective information about Islam.
