NEW YORK -- Steven Slowik has landed his dream job.
Ending months of speculation, Bill Blass Ltd. on Friday named Slowik, who previously designed a signature collection based in Paris, to take the design helm of the Blass collection.
While relatively unknown in the U.S., Slowik has earned a strong reputation among retailers for his ready-to-wear designs, as well as those he made for Salvatore Ferragamo until 1997. More importantly, he has Blass's personal stamp of approval.
