The traditional Cornish pasty is still handmade by the Proper Cornish (Real Pasties) Ltd of Bodmin.
Set-up by Phil Ugalde and brothers Chris and Dave Pauling just ten years ago, they now operate from a 30,000sq ft factory where the staff make around 50,000 pasties daily. They main variety is the traditional larger style steak and vegetable Cornish pasty that make use of rough puff pastry, as well as thousands of machine-made pasties and sausage rolls.
