Red Deer Herbs Ltd of Earl's Croome, tel:0138 675 0734, have introduced another process improvement in the production of their finished and dressed herbs. The herbs are treated with steam for a short time. As a result of this treatment, bacterial contamination of the product is dramatically reduced and the colour of the product improved.
This process is ideally suited to frozen herbs but has application to fresh herbs, particularly sprigs of thyme, rosemary and parsley. Typically, ...
