Because a few handgun models currently dominate the handgun market, many holster makers limit themselves to producing designs for only those models that they expect substantial orders. That's a valid business decision, but it makes it difficult sometimes if one likes to carry something a little out of the ordinary for self-defense or in the field. Admittedly, most custom holster makers will make a holster for whatever handgun model one desires if he or she is willing to send the gun to them to serve as a pattern.
