At the new Seattle Mariners' SAFECO Field, the state-of-the-art ballpark, LGC Wireless teamed up with AT&T Wireless Services to implement its LGCell system, which makes use of several technologies to deliver wireless communications throughout the park.
Providing consistent and clear wireless signals for cellular telephones and other communication devices is a major challenge in large structures like SAFECO Field. By taking a cellular or PCS signal from a cellular base station and sending it through rooms and corridors, the LGCell delivers consistently clear reception and increased wireless capacity to both public and private facilities.
