BP Amoco said Thursday that its Chinese unit and state-run oil company Sinopec has signed letters of intent with key suppliers for their joint venture ethylene complex in Shanghai worth $2.5 billion.
BP China Investments and Sinopec, a subsidiary of China Petroleum, expect to complete a feasibility study on the ethylene cracker and derivatives complex by the end of the year.
