Fighting for privacy rules that take no account of public concerns is a loser for the financial services industry, said Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D.
A bank is not like an intimate friend and "there are appropriate limits that should exist in a business relationship," he said at the Commercial Insurance Legislative Summit, which was jointly sponsored by the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, the American Insurance Association and the Reinsurance Association of America, all of Washington.
