Canada's Cirque du Soleil came to town in the fall, and guests at an opening night party celebrated in the Tysons Galleria mall parking garage, decorated with balloons and steel and glass tables. The theatrical circus' big top was just across the street.
Sidni Greenblat and Wendy Raab, owners of the event planning company Rave Reviews, were responsible for every detail of the Cirque party. Their Kensington company plans social and corporate events from beginning to end - from choosing invitations to cleaning up after the festivities.
"All you know is that it runs smoothly, but I've actually scripted it," Ms. Raab, 50, said.
