PROJECT OVERVIEW
Italy-based TECHNIMONT, the main contractor for a planned $400,000,000 polyethylene project, recently awarded an onshore civils contract to an Emirates/South African joint venture. The partners in the planned undertaking include the local AL-HABTOOR ENGINEERING ENTERPRISES and MURRAY & ROBERTS CONTRACTORS (MIDDLE EAST) of South Africa.
According to the terms of the award, the partnership will be responsible for building roads, paving and associated civil works for the 2-225,000 ton per year polyethylene units which are under construction.
