GROANS AND GUFFAWS
ABC's Sam Donaldson brought laughter and shouts at the end of yesterday's White House press briefing when he asked, "On March 3, will the president be watching Barbara Walters' interview on ABC, `20/20,' 9 o'clock Eastern?"
Hoots from the rest of the reporters drowned out whatever else Mr. Donaldson had to say, but did not keep White House Press Secretary Joe Lockhart from offering this response: "I looked into this, Sam, and I found out a little-known fact that C-SPAN routinely replays my briefings at 9 o'clock every night and the president never misses them."
Which brought this wisecrack from Mr. Donaldson: "He'd ...
