Here's some refreshing, if perhaps naive, advice for a lawsuit-happy society: Don't sue.
In her recent book, "What to Do When You Don't Want to Call the Cops: A Non-Adversarial Approach to Sexual Harassment," author Joan Kennedy Taylor stresses that a victim of sexual harassment has more than one option when facing this unfortunate workplace problem.
Rather than arming employees with heavy-handed harassment policies that create the perception that their only recourse is to sue, Ms. Taylor advocates teaching employees about the different ways men and women respond to offensive behavior.
